Au Ver A Soie – Silk D’Alger
Alger silk is the name for a domestic process in which an incredibly strong, luxurious and silky finished thread is produced using the best quality 100% spun silk.
The silk is loosely plied and the 7 strands can be divided easily.
The embroiderer the choice of the number of strands of thread to use, enabling very fine detail embroidery up to background fill covering using the same thread.
